Talk Crash to Me - Book

Talk Crash to Me is a phrase I have used several times since I became a crash survivor.  Next month it will be two years since the launch of the Crash Support Network’s website and as the site continues to get noticed and builds tremendous traffic as well as support, I am feeling excited for April as it is full of celebrations because it has also been five years since our Online Support Group first went live.  As I reflect on the last five years, I am truly amazed at how fast the time has flown by because at times, it feels like just yesterday that I was involved in a life-changing motor vehicle crash.

Celebrating Five Years

Every year since I created the online support group, I have always done something special for the members of the Crash Support Network Group.  In the past, I have personally hosted small give-aways, I have written a special blog and I have also connected with some truly remarkable individuals that generously hosted their own give-aways with the group and the members have been truly grateful.  As we celebrate five years, I think I timed it perfectly because for the last several months, I have been working extremely hard on accomplishing a goal that is so important to me.  I am so excited to announce that I have written a book.  Yes me!  “Talk Crash to Me – What to Expect After Surviving a Motor Vehicle Crash and How to Manage Your Recovery” is dedicated to the members of our online support group as they continue to be a big part of my recovery journey.

After surviving a motor vehicle crash, survivors will feel so overwhelmed and your recovery journey will be unlike anything you have experienced before.  You may feel alone and you will have so many questions that you may not even know where to start.  You will need to hear from another crash survivor that has also felt the same emotions and had the exact same questions.

Crash Survivors Want Their Life Back

In Talk Crash to Me, I share my personal experiences post-crash and what a survivor should expect as they recover from a motor vehicle crash.  “It’s not just about surviving the crash as it’s much more than that.  Recovery can take months and possibly years.”  Where does a survivor find hope when they are left to face a life-changing incident that carries so many struggles?  How do survivors feel less alone and move forward?  Crash survivors want their life back just as I did and this book offers a template outlining what to expect after a crash, and how to manage physically, emotionally and legally.  In my book, I explain how important it is to practice self-love and to take it one step at a time – one day at a time including helpful tips and advice.  Nothing can prepare you for the challenges you are about to face but my hope is that Talk Crash to Me will help guide you as you navigate your road to recovery.

If you were to tell me that one day I would be writing my own book, I would never have believed you but then again, I never thought I would start an online support group that has 1300+ members nor did I ever think that we would be faced with a pandemic.  Perhaps facing lockdowns may have pushed me in the right direction – turning another negative situation into a positive one.  At least I think so!

Positive Feedback

I would like to thank Andrew Iacobelli at Iacobelli Law Firm for his contribution in Talk Crash to Me as choosing a personal injury lawyer is one of the biggest decisions that you will make as a crash survivor and it’s so important to understand the legal process.  I would also like to thank a small group of individuals who were the first to read my book who offered great support and provided me with remarkable feedback, encouragement as well as wonderful testimonials.  It truly means the world to me.
